Nihilism rabbit hole

Well, I fell into one of those Wikipedia black holes or rabbit holes, whatever you want to call them. And I dug myself deep in the topic of nihilism, and I think I'm a nihilist. Nihilist, according to Wikipedia, do not believe that there is anything objective or that there are any such thing as morals that right and wrong do not exist, that we make up our own morals, and those vary from where you grew up or how you were brought up and what your religion says

Right and wrong, good and evil are subjective concepts. I think I’m a nice guy nihilist.

So, for example, existentialism is a little bit of a shift away. So it's understanding morality as you were explaining it, but much more focusing on the fact that meaning is something that we inscribe into our own lives. And it's a tremendous responsibility to stare into the abyss and find that meaning. But it's also a tremendous amount of freedom of self making. And so therefore, your plight for kindness and being a good guy is certainly a Noble cause

@JLMcMillan the buoyancy of a moment

So I just want to contribute the idea that in these big philosophical sort of meanderings that we do because we're humans and we have brains and we get to do this. I think it's really fun to also pay attention to the lightness of magic that comes into our lives. It makes us feel really just good. It could be a moment of beholding a person or a song or a piece of food or a bird

And I thought, Well, I hope this is a temporary, fleeting difficulty, because to be purposeless, to have no sense of purpose, that could be a difficult experience that might make. I hope it doesn't, but might make it difficult to live your life if you don't feel connected to a sense of purpose that you own. So I just hope you're okay. It may have been just a passing throw away phrase, the way throwaway phrases are thrown away

So there's a blind spot and you can look this up really easily look up blind spot. So anytime there's a portion of what you see is not real at all. Your brain fills in the gap where the light was supposed to hit those rods and cones that they're not there because of this bundle of nerves at the back of your eyeball. It's really interesting. Look at some optical illusions, and that's just one example
