Who are some of your favorite literary friends?
I often wonder what Frodo would have done with the Ring if Sam hadn't been around to quite literally carry him into the depths of Mordor to destroy it. Also, Harry Potter's fate, I'm sure would have been so different if he hadn't had Hermione and Ron as his best friends. Several of my favorite books are centered around epic friendships that explore the relationship between the central characters as the main theme and bring out the highs and lows that come along with it

But the way the book is told, if I'm remembering correctly is you have them as adults, but then you're also kind of moving back and forth in time and understanding their friendship, and it just really impacted me. It's such a good story. I've actually really wanted to reread it recently, so that's another good one
