Seeking ‘Validation’, Chasing likes on social media !

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pragati.chopra
But from the very start I was clear that I don't have to be connected with the likes and I am not here to seek any validation from anybody. I do it for fun. I do it as a passion and it has nothing to do with what and how people judge me on social media. So yes, looking around other content creators, I feel that social media status has become the norm. We post our best pictures showing the edited highlight real of our lives

Hey Pragati. Yes that's absolutely true. That people posting their pictures or other data on social media to seeking validation and chasing likes on social media with respect to gaining followers on social media is because of now the social status is more based on the numbers. The society is more based on how many followers you have social media and how many likes your post is getting on a daily basis on this particular criteria you are judging someone and you are also has been judged. So this society is number based

They don't have the most chiseled face or the most perfect jawline. Perhaps their hips and tummy are not set to the ideal ratio. And the problem is, we tend to celebrate one type of body or one type of attraction and we completely negate the other type of attraction. One is necessarily not above and better than the other. Human beings come in all shapes and sizes and this is a fundamental reality that we have to celebrate, not discriminate upon

Validation & social media @ashdew@pragati_25@pragatias@love@happiness@ansenvoler@Min@Rosy@Bradshaw@manas_agarwal@happy1131@Priya@Pakiza0418@TanaySanju

You get a lot of dopamine or the happiness hormone. When you see people are liking you feel whatever way yes, social media might be fake, but it has its genuineness. You get one lakh or 1 million views, you start getting money, you start earning sitting at the home. I'm sure with that happiness will come. But yes, now it's again person to person. And when you're saying everybody is equal, no, how is Sharuk equal to me?

Hi j o. Thank you for your response and I'm really sorry that you are bullied for being too skinny. You know, living in today's society, it makes us very hard to love our bodies. We are constantly bombarded with images of what the ideal body should look. And the truth is that there isn't any ideal body. Everybody is an ideal. You know why? Because it's ours and it's the only one we have got

@kaps60539 you've stated a reality .. Harsh perhaps but a reality none the less 💯

But again, like you said, this is an entirely personal choice and it's up to each person to define their worth. So thanks for that perspective. I think that was quite valid

And this sharing feature is available in all of our social media pages and I think large number of people who are in business industry they are profiting because of this advertising and marketing on social media. So yes, it does have a lot of positive impacts on each one of us but at the same time it was just that I wanted to bring forth the negative impacts it's having on the younger generation who are spending a lot of time being acting on social media platforms

Probably we cannot even comprehend what these media or YouTube or Facebook can lead to. They can make countries fight countries vermin. Everything is possible. But yes, again, everything has a positive and a negative. So see the positive side. I always tell that mujah Bhat, Kurtan sundar laktihe compliment kartam duniya chai gucci. So the same is the case with social media. I take it positively to you. I earn millions with it. Why not? And same with the case with you

So my only reason of making this well was to ensure that people don't get connected and get validated with what they are posting. I mean, yes, I cannot think my life without social media because that is what my profession is today. So I earn and I owe my life to social media so there's no hard feelings about social media. It's a boon to me

And funnily enough, after a few years under this pressure again from people I don't know, I just wanted to prove a point maybe I posted so many pixels on Star on one single day. I'm like damn you, I can do better. But then I very soon realized that this is just crazy, it's pointless, it's futile. Anyway, yeah, I totally agree with what you've shared here

Hi Prague. You know, my big question to the people who are posting such glamorous pictures, who are always trying to portray themselves as a very happy cigarettes, who are always trying to, you know, impress people around them, who are more into, you know, people pleasing kind of thing, I just want to know one thing from these people. Whom are they trying to attract? Whom are they trying to please on these social media platform forms?

@Swatiselflove

The people, they're going to be haters, they're going to be people who are going to love you. That doesn't matter. You don't have to get connected with that. And my focus is to create and share content that adds value to the audience life. And as far as interaction with the people on social media is concerned, I would say build genuine connections based on common interests and ideas that could be more rewarding. And of course, setting boundaries

And yes, one thing that is very important that has helped me working on social media is setting boundaries. Social media can be very overwhelming, so it is very important that we have boundaries to maintain a healthy relationship with it. And also I limit my time spent on scrolling. I don't use my phone

And then not just she, but some other people, they tend to post always the good things in their life, the new things they're getting, some of the things, the things I couldn't afford and don't want anyway. If they get a Dew car, they post that. In other words, people are not really very truthful. They don't get on there and say what they're feeling rough with
