The family that kills mosquitoes together, stays together

article image placeholderUploaded by @pocketofstories
His wife was frustrated with this lazy no good man and she used to crib and complain asking him to find some work and help. About one day swapping, swatting these pesky flies who behaved just like him. Hovering around and doing nothing. An idea came to his mind. What if he killed a thousand of these flies? It didn't seem like mission impossible. And he went about the task sincerely. And soon enough, the day he killed the thousandth fly he ran about rejoicing in the village

Hi Sarita. Interesting story. Mosquito hunters. I hate mosquitoes. So the latest mosquito net that I had used in while traveling to the northeast was a folding one, which is very the latest. I mean for me it is the latest one. I had seen those earlier ones where you tie those ropes around four corners, top corners. But I hate them. Yes. I would be so happy to see a political party who promises its citizens to get rid of mosquitoes. Here

I thought about those Velcro strips where you stick all around the windows. I don't know if that's effective or not. And when it comes to mosquitoes only biting you, there's a saying in hindiki, khon mitha hai kahi. So I know that certain people are more impacted by mosquitoes, and some just do not even realize there are mosquitoes around. So abha the Chong. But thank you for appreciating the story

But it is easy to go to other countries where there are no mosquitoes. These mosquitoes made life horrible. You can't sit comfortably in your garden. You cannot sit at your terrace. You cannot sit in your balcony. And even if you dare to sit there, the bite of mosquito make you uncomfortable for at least 30 minutes or more than that. And you can't enjoy your life. These mosquitoes are very tiny creature. But their number is very high

And what we have in our folklore are these kind of stories which are so amazing and so thoughtful, so thought provoking that I believe that they should be read by the children in their childhood or whenever they have time, like me, when I read it. So I believe that, you know, stories can be read at any age. I don't mind that. Now about the mosquitoes. Yes. Now being in India and being in the summer season, that's the best season for the mosquitoes

And again, Sarita, like I said earlier, the way you narrate a story, it's quite entertaining, it's quite livid. So you have a knack of telling these small little things in a great way. So keep up that you're doing great and you are awesome. So congratulations on that and keep going

I really found your podcast a funny one and especially the title you have given that the families which kill mosquitoes together, so they are together, they are in unity. So really amazing and definitely when it is the time of changing weather and favorable condition of mosquitoes, definitely we human beings are in difficulty and finishing them all. It is always a very typical task. They are our like fellow passengers and they seem like they have decided that many times they will not let us sleep. So obviously

Thank you. Rakeshi. I love the analogy of them being fellow passengers. That's true. And just when you think that you kind of driven all of them away. So thank you that you like the post or Koshi Shrey post. Thank you

I'd almost, while you were telling us the story, I'd almost forgotten about the mosquitoes. And in the end, when you wrap it up, it was a lovely format. Thank you so much for sharing this and see you around. Bye

Haha. I laughed at the picture of him running off with the bamboo towards the enemy. That was really good. When I was a child, I heard a similar story about a tailor. I think he killed about seven flies. And it was a story from one european country. I don't know. But you know, it could very well have been a story that was taken from India and made into some other country's folk tale. But I like the way you told it
