In The Raindrops

article image placeholderUploaded by @Pixiepoet4life
And I'm going to try to write something new every single day for the month of April. So hopefully 31 new poems, but we'll see. I'm not sure if I'll actually make that quota, but I'm very, very happy and proud to share my work for National Poetry Month. And I hope that you enjoyed that piece in the Raindrops. Thank you for listening

You. I really enjoyed this piece, dawn. It was so peaceful and it flowed and it had such a beautiful rhythm to it, just like the rain has. I appreciate your work. I look forward to hearing more from you and I hope that you enjoy each opportunity that you are given to create and to share your voice and your thoughts. They're powerful. So thank you again

Every time I come on well with my poetry and I hear the different voices and different perspectives like yours, I marvel at how many of us are out there and all the poets that I have such kinship with. And I appreciate so much being able to share my work with all of you and have you come on and share your spaces with me. So thank you for being here. I appreciate you for that so, so much. And I hope that we get to exchange more and have more conversations
@Digitalpenz
And I, too, am going to try to write a poem each day, or at least every other day in April to celebrate a National Poetry Month. It's really a beautiful thing. And so thank you again. Bye

Thank you so much for your encouragement and for taking the time to listen and join in my thread and actually give me feedback. I appreciate that so much and I'm looking forward to listening to the many poetic voices on here for Poetry Month and for sharing my own poetic voice as well for this month of April. I think it's going to be a beautiful conversation and a wonderful exchange between all of us, so I hope to hear from you and I will continue to post
@IntrotuitiveMrs
Hello again, my friend. This poem was gorgeous. Like, I had chills. It's one of like I had to listen to it a few times to take it in. I love relistening to a poem after the very first time. And I love that first time feeling of the emotions and hear things without anything to go off of. The second time can really solidify thoughts and ideas, but the first time it's all brand new and I just love that. I love that so much

The artwork involved the art of the dance, the art of the spoken word, the art of the words that are sung and the art of the words that are written. They truly impact and transcend, timeless, resilient. Thank you again

So this piece is one of those pieces where I was sitting and thinking about my romantic ideals and my thoughts on love and my feelings that I've had at different times in intimate settings with people who I've been intimately connected with, and I wanted to figure out a new way to describe it. And so I was actually listening to some other poets, and one of them was talking about water and how water affected his thoughts about his lover

And so in thinking about that and then being inspired by the other poet that I was listening to at the moment, I just thought, what if I just created a poem that was focused on that? And so the line, I hear your voice in the raindrops, it just came to me like, yeah, listening to the rain could be like listening to a lover. Because for me, listening to the rain is a very sensual, very kind of erotic theme

You can see into their world and even see into the worlds of others based on what that poet has presented to you. And that gives you the ability to connect in a more meaningful way with other human life. So I am just thrilled to be an artist. I am so blessed to be a poet and I am so grateful for this in my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the whole world

Thank you. And I appreciate you for taking the time to listen to my work and most importantly, for taking the time to reply back to me and give your feedback and add your voice to this thread and your perspective to this thread. I appreciate you for that because it is the response to my voice that makes me speaking worthwhile. Without all of you, it wouldn't matter if I was posting these things
@IntrotuitiveMrs

@Pixiepoet4life

I mean, even as it relates sensually sometimes leaving what's underneath to be thought about is more beautiful than the full frontal display. And I appreciate that in this poem. And now my brain is running and I'm thinking I'm going to share something because I've been a little iffy about sharing something. So something of a sexual nature in this space. I wasn't sure about it but I'm really thinking about it

You. Oh, dawn. This piece made me feel a storm brewing. This was just gorgeous. And now I kind of want the raindrops to fall here. So I'm looking forward to your 30 poems in 30 days. Basically, whether or not you actually meet that goal is side the point, because whatever you end up sharing is going to be a treasure

I'm not making any sense now. I'm just saying if you touch one life with your poetry, you've accomplished something huge. And let me tell you, you've touched mine. And I know you've touched many others. So you are doing what you're supposed to be doing. Girl, I just had to say girl. It's just great. I'm going to hush now because I'm not even making fit

It is like smoking one. A big fat fatty, but just audibly amazing. And your content is like thick, thick, thick. Appreciate you. Looking forward to seeing more
