Tyson vs Paul: What boxing has become

article image placeholderJake Paul vs. Tyson set for July 20 on Netflix
However, it's an exhibition match, so people aren't going to be on the power, aren't going to be pressing the pedal to the metal here and I don't see it as an exciting fight again, the wet blanket is put over that

If Mike Tyson don't knock Paul out, it's all set up. There's no way in the world Jake Paul have any hand skills with Mike Tyson or speed. I saw Mike Tyson on YouTube. His speed is there in his hand and the power looks ridiculous. He going to hit that boy with about four quick shots, tear those ribs up, then he's going to come up top and try to shove his nose into his brain. Like Tyson always said, I'm trying to uppercut

Mike Tyson is going up and playing games with this lame, unathletic, untalented, pathetic kid so that he can get some money out of it. And it makes me sad that life has gotten to that point, that this is what he's doing. It's obvious as hell

He's trying to build himself up, but he might get a serious let down. And in this one, and I hope he do. I hope Tyson just can snap back to like 1982, 85 or something. We get like an 88 Tyson, because I remember I watched Tyson, well, I watched all his fights except for the one he lost to Buster Douglas live. The only one I missed was the one he lost

But after all my boxing experience, I will tell you two things that I have seen in my life. I've seen a ton of exhibition matches, and I will say this again, in case anybody missed it, the next exhibition match that I see that's worth watching will be the first one. They're never good, they just never are. And secondly, watching old men in the ring is cringe worthy. It just doesn't matter

Apollo Creed died in an exhibition

And Jake Paul is probably trying to use this as another notch in his belt to prove his seriousness. So it is fascinating because I agree with Phil. And Phil, I think that's really interesting that you work for the boxing commission. I don't think in my entire life I've never met a person affiliated with boxing, but I've known quite a few people that do MMA. And it's crazy to see where we are with boxing now because of the history behind it

This guy can be rewarded for beating up on or fighting one of the greatest fighters of all time. When he's no longer one of the greatest fighters of all time and be able to be like, walk around and say, I beat Mike Tyson, or Mike Tyson gets to beat the shit out of some kid who doesn't know how to fight. I don't care what anyone like. He looks good. It's easy to look good when you're fighting people who aren't at their best

@MK1981 Part. 1 - Race, Hypebeast culture and modern entertainment

He knows if he would try to fight Evander Holyfield, they would mock him for it. But people are going to watch it. They know if he goes after a guy from the past era that just wrapped up his career about 1516 years ago, I cannot think of his name. He was in Rocky Balboa. He was the ball head guy, the heavyweight champion. But it's a lot of talent out there

@MK1981 Part. 2 - Culture, "Reality," repeat.

And now that people are just engaging with sports that way, it's gone full circle, and now it just belongs to the rich. And the more and more people you talk to, there are less poor people engaging with sports based products. The NBA is behind a paywall. The Chicago Bulls here in Chicago do not put games on television for free to see. Neither do the White Sox or the Cubs anymore. People now engage more with controversy where who's getting married to who?

And again, could be wrong, but even my scrolling and just engagement with things. The other day, I found myself in a conversation, and I was going to have this long debate with someone, and I just erased everything and said, no, I'm just going to go outside, go for a walk, or go to the library, or hang out with my wife. I just don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to engage with going this way

Yeah. The boxer you're talking about is Hayden's boyfriend, Vladimir. I can't say his last name, but he was like six seven, super tall. Like he looked 7ft standing next to her. But dude was tall. He was pretty good. But yeah, like you said, no one brings him up
