Tips Picks and Tricks: Your guide to filling out your NCAA bracket

article image placeholderUploaded by @Phil
I think this weekend with the women's tournament will go pretty true to form and we'll pick it up next week and really start to analyze when the games start really getting good on the women's side. But for now, I'm going to start in the east. I will give you my thoughts on the east bracket, east region, and we'll go from there

Ask any question as I go through region by region

The East Region: Buying Uconn Aub, BYU Selling Illinois and IA State

Now, Yukon comes into this with an offensive proficiency that is close to the Boston Celtics. These guys are really, really playing great ball. They are a huge threat to repeat, even though teams have not repeated since 2008 when Florida did it. But it's a reminder to keep in mind that Yukon is going to be playing in New York and Boston through the first two weekends and those are effectively going to be home games for them. So this really sets up pretty well for Yukon

South Region Buying Houston Florida Selling Duke Marquette Wildcard UK

I actually like Florida. I think they can actually do a lot of damage in this tournament. They're a three pointing machine. They will shoot. They will shoot. The only drawback here is that they're not going to play a single ounce of defense here. This is purely an offensive team. And offensive teams can win the first and second round games. It's in the subsequent games that their defense kind of lets them down

Midwest: Buying Purdue, Creighton Selling everyone else

Rick Barnes is over 66% in his coaching percentage over the four decades that he's coached college basketball. However, he is sub 500 in the NCAA tournament and this is with some very good teams. He had Kevin Durant on his team and failed to crack past the Sweet 16 with Kevin Durant on the team. Now, two years ago, he did make the Sweet 16 with Tennessee and it was a very good Tennessee team. That's the thing

West Region Buying St Mary's and Arizona. Everyone else Inconsistent

I think they are a little bit better than Alabama here, and I'm putting them there. And if Mississippi State can upset North Carolina, I mean, St. Mary's could be there facing Arizona with a trip to the final four on the line. But don't be surprised if this bracket here in the west just completely falls apart. These teams are just very inconsistent
