Now, he was under gun. This is one of the things that he worked day and night on. And he was a very tireless, hard worker. And there was speculation and this was right in the Cold War that somebody, most likely the Soviet Union, was going to try and shoot down this space shuttle. So they designed this infrared technology. My dad holds a patent on this infrared technology that he utilized to develop something that would confuse missiles and have them go elsewhere

That tells me so much about your dad. I loved hearing about that and the fact that he could do something just because he loved it. And it wasn't necessarily about being the best, but just enjoying the process of it, enjoying the sport, and being able to laugh at himself, too. I feel like I would have really of your dad and I'm so appreciative that I get to learn about him through the stories you have to tell about him now. So thank you for sharing
