Journey from Sanity

And I believe her very first book was the grass is always greener on the other side of I've always enjoyed Irma's style of writing, and being a writer myself, I decided to take a stab at the humorous parenting stories. So I wrote a book entitled the toilet is overflowing and the dog is wearing my underwear. Yeah, I know, long title, right? But I did find out that whenever you're a parent, the toilet overflows on more than one occasion

My two boys fought over earphones, declared they were weak with hunger, and created a mural with spit on the rear window, all before we left the driveway. 3 hours, a dozen fights over a half melted tic tac stuck to the floorboard. We stopped in a small town to eat. The restaurant was a mom and pop place with the walls covered in tattered pictures and yellowing newspaper clippings of local heroes

I hadn't heard anybody invoke Irma bombeck in years and actually had almost forgotten Irma. She was the absolute best at telling mom stories. Kind of like you. Very good. Very interesting. Reminds me of being a young mom. And, wow, that was a really great period of my life. Damn, I'm glad that's over. I look forward to hearing other things from you. Have a good day. Bye

@MamaMinnie

Hi Mamaminnie, thank you so much for visiting. And thank you for both your compliment and your comment. I absolutely adored Irma myself. Whenever I would be reading her stories, I would just laugh out loud at the library and people would stare at me like the cheese had finally slipped off my cracker. But I learned by reading her stories. That's absolutely okay
