This is the dilemma that's faced that a lot of millennials and Gen Z are facing, which is that you can put in 200% into a job and you don't get recognized for it. You can do the job of ten people and you still get low pay. Or if you do get a reward, it's some joke, like a free banana or a $20 gift card. But these days, I'd have to say that what's worked for me is changing jobs
