Foodie/Film Friday: favorite food scene in a film/show/etc?

article image placeholderUploaded by @paolomcm
I personally don't watch anime, but I know a lot of anime make food look really delicious and make you crave it. So yeah. So what's your favorite food scene in a movie or a TV show? And did that make you hungry

Well, my most favourite smoothie would definitely be the Princess and the Frog Beignets. They look so good, they're so difficult to make in real life but that's the favourites

Oh, my goodness. I went to Disneyland in December and I tried the vignettes there that are based off of Princess and the Frog. They were so delicious. I had like so many. It's insane. But yeah, that's a really good seen from a movie

This is such a good list. I have to add big night with Stanley Tucci and Tony Shaloob. The whole movie made me hungry. In fact, I ate a big Italian meal afterwards in North Beach, San Francisco. I remember I was is with a friend. I'm going to link the Amazon link to here. If you haven't seen this amazing film about this Italian restaurant and two brothers, you just are starving. And it's also adorable. It's a great question

So this is actually a tie for me. It's a tie between The Matrix and Good fellas in The Matrix when I don't remember what the character's name is, but Joe Ponte Leono is meeting with Agent Smith and he's eating that steak that he knows is not real just the way that he's chewing it and eating it. I've wanted to make that myself, but the ingredients are really expensive. But yeah, that is definitely one of them

Oh, good fellas. What a movie. I love that movie. It's one of my favorite movies ever. Any scene involving food in a Scorsese movies is automatically up there for me. Come to think of it, I was watching below this weekend. I'm not sure if you saw that when it came out with Johnny Depp about the guy who started selling cocaine for Pablo Escobar in the United States

What's really not ironic, but it's really funny about that is chances are the real Henry Hill probably drugs from George Young. Rayliota playing Henry Hill and then playing George Young's dad was kind of funny

You know, you got a good chuckle out of me. I did not even put that together. It's kind of a hard one to miss if you really think about it. So I'm glad you pointed it out. That's too funny. Too, too funny. You know that there's some, like, pending Rick Morty episode about that or something along those lines. I'd watch it. That sounds fantastic

But for some reason peanut butter and Oreo doesn't sound as appealing. I love Nutter butter though. So that's the thing. I love Nutter Butters. So maybe if I put Nutter butter like peanut butter on another butter, I don't know, I'm just scrambling now but yeah, definitely need to try more sweet things with peanut butter on top of it

And I was like, oh, my God, I miss good Asian cuisine. Here in Albany, New York. There's, like a ramen spot. There's, like, a few sushi spots, but it's always the same thing, like sushi dumplings. But I miss legit Asian food. I'm from New York City, and in Chinatown in Manhattan, if you know the right spots, you're getting quality food for cheap prices

I live in Pullman, Washington, which is like, 5 hours east from Seattle. I go to College here at WSU, but there's just no Gray agent spots around here. I'm just really picky about my age food, I guess, growing up Asian and eating so many different types of Asian cuisines. And, yeah, I can't wait to go back home and try all the new recipes that have popped up since I've moved out here for College

Too easy. https://youtu.be/1YmggFzaoUM

Like, for example, the dining scene in Tom Jones where the scene is about sex, but they can't show sex in the movies, so they just show the two lovers eating at the table with each other. And in the similar vein, here's my favorite food, and I'm going to leave the link here. It's Michelle Yo from oh My Gosh, almost 30 years ago in Wing Chung, and it's a fight over a plate of tofu. And that's all it is

I agree with Tim watching his clip. It reminds me of this pie fight scene in this old movie called The Great Race in 65 starring Tony Curtis, Food, Jack Lemon and Peter Folk. I loved the pacing of this scene and I could feel the actors who were having so much fun throwing pies at each other. Oh, my gosh, I'm an actor myself. I would have loved to be in that kind of scene. Yeah

But it's a woman who escapes from the war in France and she finds shelter at this austere village, a religious community who take her in and take care of her. And to repay back their kindness, she cooks them a magnificent French dinner. And I don't want to give any more away because it's really worthwhile for you to take the time to watch it. It's a transformative experience, a moving experience. And the cinematography is just gorgeous. And it really stands the test of time
