The Climate Crisis: What Are You Willing To Do?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Omkari
I'm just really concerned that we are not talking about the climate situation in the way that we need to be talking about it and that we're not talking about it every single day and that we are not pressuring our elected officials to take immediate and significant action, and also that we, as individuals, are not doing what we need to be doing in our own lives to make this planet be able to keep sustaining us

Greetings. Omkari. I love the swell. You're right. I agree with you 100%. And I think that we should reflect upon on our ecological footprints, as individuals, as a collective, as a society, as a humanity. But it's just really interesting how it seems more of humanity is interested in leaving this planet than actually staying and healing it. I mean, when you have people like Jeff Bezos flying to space for the weekend just because they can

Hey, Anna, I just want to thank you for your profoundly thoughtful response to Ankara's question. It really just the pacing of your thought process really helped me think it through. And I appreciate your comment about those in control are more apt to leave and stay. And that was what we saw the last month in the race to the moon, erased to the atmosphere outside the atmosphere just well thought out and very provocative. And I continue to think and I'm car thank you for the conversation

This is a big part of the problem, and we need to figure out how to address this and how to put pressure on the people who have resources to do the right thing in that respect as well. So I really appreciate what you had to say. And there's always more to think about and more to learn. And I'm so grateful to be part of this conversation with people like you and people like DB. So thank you both

Individual choices model collective action

And elephant is coming down the road and says, Hummingbird, what's wrong? And Hummingbird says, The Sky is falling, so I'm here to keep it from destroying us. And elephant starts laughing. And the elephant says, Hummingbird, you are clearly not strong enough to hold back the sky. And Hummingbird says, I can do what I can do. And I'm here in the middle of the road to let people know what I'm doing
