Did christanity and islam save us from Paganism?

The Arishas. You can only imagine that the European missionaries, the Portuguese and then the British oh, let's go further back. The Muslims, they looked at West African religion as paganism, witchcraft, demonic. We need it to be saved. Now, the Christians, they were a bit more aggressive and they were a bit more determined that we would be safe. They used to call this the white man's burden because they had to save us. We needed to be saved

We're used to these stories where either you get saved or you die. Well, those are Catholic stories. But I mean, they were the first denomination after all. Did we as black Americans benefit from our ancestors being slaves? That's hard to answer because we don't have all the information. We have only a smidge of it. But we are living in it. We are experiencing it every day. I would say no

And to be honest with you, if slavery would have never happened, none of us would be here. Not me, not you, nobody. If your ancestors were here, let's say if you could trace your ancestry back to 100 plus years, d*** near 200 years during slavery, yeah, let's be honest. You exist because most of us have some European, maybe a little bit of native, a little bit European
