Security theater

And I told her, hey, this is what I told her. I told her that no matter where you go, there will always be danger. But I had to educate her a little bit that all this stuff is for my safety. It's not really for you. None is really for your safety. It's for my own safety. Let me give you another example of a theater security or providing an illusion of security

Security theater brings in the real money.

And so she was talking about how she worked at this nursing home to provide administrative support, but she truly missed patient care. And she says, I don't like telling my story too much because it makes me sad that this one patient pretty much erased by 20 something years of nursing experience. And it broke my heart that there wasn't someone there even or herself to be able to be like, you know, to draw their gun or something to protect herself. Same thing with kids in school

What an interesting topic about security and its many forms and machinations, because what is interesting is security is security guard. To a military officer, it's all different matters of security. It's just some are securing nations, some are securing private property, et cetera. Cops. It's all kind of the same thing. So it makes sense. And actually, in essence, cops being paid to be security guards in essence was the earliest forms of policing

Hello, her sisu. How's it going? Thank you for replying to this post. Yeah, it's funny you mentioned the security guards at the health clinic. I mean, at the at your health care facility where you used to work and excuse me. Yes. I can remember a time when I started working in the hospital. And yeah, the security guards were out of shape, sloppy looking, and you looking presentable. Makes a lot of difference. Right

It's funny because when you think of the history of law enforcement, we think of the 1718 hundreds, the formation of the first legitimate law enforcement agency that started in Britain, but oh, well, it was the UK, I believe. Was it? No, it was before the UK. I think it was Great Britain. But yeah, so law enforcement goes way, way back. The Nubian security guards, guards, man, the Roman, you know, they had their own security
@CrusaderWarrior

Its a ‘deterrent’

One of the things that's kind of interesting when you mentioned the train system is that actually one of the divisions that's provided by the security company that I currently work for, even though I'm actually leaving this job next week. That's one of the things that they do is they have to check people's passes and they have to ride the trains at the light rail
