Cashiers sitting vs standing

article image placeholderUploaded by @OmegaStrange
But it's a grocery store company, man, you can buy. I used to love going there. My mom used to go there a lot. I used to love going to Audi because we would get snacks, and it was like, it was cheap, but you could get a bunch of food and snacks. But the cashiers, they're allowed to sit or stand because it's a company based out of Germany. So I used to thought that was different

Cashiers wth no options, accept for better productivity.

Walmart is like an 8th wonder of the world in terms of checking out, especially when you have lease items. It almost seems like you only should go to Walmart if you plan on having a cart full of stuff because that's the only reason to logically want to stand and wait in the line

Hey, this is JL. This is an interesting assessment. I have noticed a few times I've shopped at Aldi, the cashiers are sitting. However, comparing it to the grocery stores we have where I'm at Wagman's, Harris, Teater, Sprout, fresh Market, whole Foods, things of that nature, where the cashiers are standing, I would say the Aldi cashiers are much faster than any of the other cashiers while sitting

And because I don't want to open the door to yuckiness simply then being on somewhat equal footing, ie. Both standing feels safer than if I'm sitting and somebody can lean over or impose in my space, so to speak. Right, so there's weirdness there too. But on the other hand, I think humans having the ability to sit or stand is important for the thriving of the employees. And I think that there could be ways to optimize

A pad to stand on

He was some guy who worked in an apartment with the fridges, like the fridges in the freezer or whatever. I think he was a mechanic. But he tried to get my face one time when I was walking around the store, and he was, like, saying, oh, you pretending to sell anything today? And I was like, well, if more people come into the store, I wouldn't have to pretend

And like we were talking earlier, they'd be having some of the cashiers out on the floor. You brought this up yourself. But they'd be out on the floor stocking shelves, man. Bring your a** back to the cashiers. Be having three extra cashiers out on the floor now. Walmart, they make a lot of money. Hire somebody. Hire someone that can work the floors

Horses. What's up? Yeah. You know, I used to love me some Audi. Yeah. Audience, man. Hey, all these used to be the spot as a kid. I used to love going there. It was almost like, you know, walking into Candy Land, I used to love it, all the snacks and man, you just knew you're going to have a full refrigerator, right? A full cab net of snacks. You knew that heaven is a reality

So once I found out that, hey, they want us to go around and just try to sell these guys, I'm like, no, I'm good, because if I don't sell anything, they're going to fire me. They're going to let me go just like that. But if my numbers are low, see, I'm an introvert, so I'm not good at speaking to people. I don't have that charm, that's quick
