Especially during the heights of racism, segregation in America, you know, I mean, it would have defeated the purpose to educate young black women in California that even in a country that a state was named after, it was named after a black woman. So it was, for the most part, kept a secret for a very long time. Well, I want to say kept a secret, just not spoken about. Not spoken about. There's a lot more to that story
