The first Short Message/Messaging Service

article image placeholderUploaded by @OmegaStrange
What was your first text message? What was the first text message that you sent or received? Now the first text message was sent to a mobile phone by a vote of phone engineer and Brookshire in the UK on December 3 of 1992. Happy Birthday. They were sent in order to test out the text and read Merry Christmas. So the first text message was Merry Christmas. Now that first text message, obviously it has changed the way how we socialize set it off because we're always texting every day

You say, I'm doing fine. There you go. You've completed your obligation of socializing for the day. Sometimes. And even me, I still recoil when I do get a phone call. Not from you, of course. I'll make a strange I've actually learned to appreciate having phone calls now more. But my last relationship I was in, I was definitely not a fan of her calling me randomly. This is somebody who was my girlfriend

But it's like, okay, whatever. And yeah, you brought up how texting is pretty much outdated, and I used to feel the same way. Even during Yahoo chat days, I used to kind of feel the same way. But I remember with Bravo, that's when I really started to like, okay, what is going on here? Why are they texting instead of recording texting? It seems so outdated to me. I just didn't understand. It didn't make any sense

Wow, this is interesting history. And it's honestly what I don't even really think I can recall. I'm older, so by the time I had a cell phone, which was 19 nine, it was what was then the norm, which was you had the phone where I want to say it was after 09:00 p.m.. You had free nights because you only have so many free minutes with your plan per month

I wish I remembered. The only thing I do remember is that I was late to the game with respect to getting a cellphone, let alone a smart one. And my first cell phone I didn't get until 2009, and it was my second World Series of Poker Vegas, and I needed to be able to communicate with my friends

Hey, her sisu, I want to thank you for replying to this. Well, yeah, I want to say the first time I got my cell phone, it was a it was a flip nokia, I think. Yeah, I think it was a Nokia. I may be wrong. I think it was Nokia. It was a flip phone. Your typical flip phone. And I was happy when I first got my flip phone, I felt like an adult. I was probably about 1516

Hey, Sikhump Palm, I want to thank you for replying to this. Well, yes, I hated that future where you had I hated the option you had to hit you had to hit a digit just to get to a d*** alphabet. I hate hated it. But, yeah, you didn't get yours until 2009. I want to say the iPhone two was already out. Yeah, iPhone two. But what else was out?

You made me laugh. And you're like, Mandining, you know, waking up with blood on your hands and where did this come from? Okay, you've left me with so many questions anyway. It is amazing how far technology has come and, you know, who's to say where it will end up? I think there's things that have been like Google Glass. I'm sure that now Facebook has a version of it, or so I've read. And that's spreading
