Journalist vs columnist
Let's talk about journalism. There has been a lot of journalism, or at least those claiming to be journalists, right? No. We got people like Norwegian. Drink chap. We have people like Kanye West. He says that he's a journalist. We have people like Candace Owens. She also claims to be a journalist. Now, I will say this, candace Owens, she does have some education in that field, but she never completed that education because she dropped out

Columnists produce pieces of opinion journalism that advance a particular point of view. Now, both of these are necessary, right? But I think the problem is that people don't like straight news because it's boring. Straight news with no clear point of view almost sounds wrong. So when it comes to matters of race and politics and religion, you're supposed to pick aside, you're not supposed to just talk about it. And that's where the columnist comes in

But I think I have often, especially the last eight years, thought that when you watch the news such as Fox, CNN, The View, whatever, it turned into almost like an opinionated talk show, right? Very little journalistic traits were being displayed. It was more people talking over each other, people trying to discredit the other side. And you just got the message, got lost

But when it comes down to present day, there's no difference between a journalist and columnist. It appears now to me for ratings, for the purpose of ratings and popularity, that journalists are sensationalizing information just as much as coldness are and they are actually one and the same. There's no more like this is the trusted person for factual, non biased information. They are all incorporating some degree of bias in sensationalism and drama in information they are sharing
Hey, Luchianna. How's it going? I want to take a full time to this, folks. Yeah. There is a problem with these celebrities and influencers. They got it in their head that they are some kind of journalist. But in reality they're nothing more than columnist. And there's nothing wrong with being economists. Economists delivers opinion, sprinkle in with some factual news, with some factual information. Right? That's pretty much what that is their job and that is their agenda
We need a different form of journalism and I think that's where economist comes in. I think they provide because we love to hear people, we love to hear what they think but I do think they need to be out there needs to be distinction between the two. Candace Owings was funny about her is that although she did go to school for it, she never finished her degree, so she never finished her major in that field so it's like, are you a journalist?
I feel that it's true or I am getting paid to say it's true even though it hasn't been proven. So, yeah, we got to be careful, man. We got to be careful, you know? And, you know, fortunately for us, we love to do our research
