Happy Samhain

I can understand why it's not a national holiday. Because our country is based on Christian values. Halloween is still seen as this dark, central, twisted religion. And in a lot of ways, it still is a religion. It's more of a ritual than a religion. Now, I could be wrong. Maybe rituals and religions are the same, or I guess I don't think they're the same, different

@OmegaStrange 😬 Maybe sacrilegious? ⚠️

You got me thinking about, you know, this, for instance, halloween not being a national holiday on several levels. First, then I think we'd have to start making so many other days national holidays as well. And then it's like, where's the line this Valentine's Day become a national holiday? Or does grandparents parents day or secretary's day or women's day or men's day or any of the other you know what I mean?

And if you don't do it, that's fine. Don't knock people who do do it. If I'm going out with my kids and we're trick or treating, I'm not plotting some evilness, and I don't want that to be told or my children to feel that way. And to answer the last question, no Halloween should not be a natural holiday. If voting the day people go out and vote is not an after holiday, definitely

Hello, my good friend Omega strange and happy sam Haim. Sam Hain or Hollows eve or Halloween. And I know this could be a very prickly day for those out there. And I've been there, I'm an agnostic. So some years I straightup denounced it as a silly pagan holiday. And other days I was like, where's the candy? Let's celebrate. And I'm now somewhere in between. But tradition is man's instinctual need to instill meaning

Candy hierarchy 🤣

So same with Halloween, but I don't think it should be made a formal recognized holiday because there are so many other holidays that are important to different cultures and race and religions and so on and so forth. To me, I have this whole all or nothing mindset when you're dealing with a large body of people as a responsible leader. And so it's either you're going to do it for everyone or don't do it for anyone

They were like our protectors to make sure that we can survive throughout Fall. But yeah, there's something. I was thinking about what you said about the ghosts and what they can represent. And maybe they can be our guardian angels. But yeah, it was nice having a conversation. Peace

But I like yours better because it could sort of be angels, but also like this encouragement to the children with their swords that are attempting to kill the witches and warlocks that they would the warriors would not be discouraged and they would feel empowered not only by their empowered swords, but by their angels protecting them, watching over them, providing food for them. I like this. I like this

I don't know. What would a national voting holiday look like? Or would it just be like any other voting day? Would it just be a national day that you can get off from work? You don't have to go into work. You can just put your phone in on your day off. I used to grow up thinking people are crazy enough to poison candies and put blades inside your candy bar. I can remember Olive mom checking through our candies

To be honest with you, brother, I don't think we can even be human if we didn't have traditions, we might as well just be robots or something. But yeah, to have traditions and it's interesting you said that it could be dangerous if you don't know the history of what you celebrate. And yeah, that is kind of true, man. Not understanding the history can be a bit problematic. And I get it

I'm seeing sowing is a pagan religious festival originating from an ancient Celtic spiritual tradition. In modern times, Sawin, a Gaelic word pronounces sawin is usually celebrated from October 31 to November 1 to welcome in the harvest and usher in the dark half of the year. Celebrants believe that the barriers between the physical world and the spirit world break down during Solomon, allowing more interactions between humans and the dinsians of the other world

So when I grew up in England, we didn't do Halloween. We had Guy Fawkes Night, which is a whole different thing that was to do with the guy that tried to blow up the government with dynamite. And we used to have bonfires, and we'd build, like, a scarecrow replica of this guy, Guy Fawkes, and then we'd burn him and we'd set off illegal fireworks. Well, they weren't illegal back then. They are now

Hey, how's it going? I hope you enjoy your Halloween. Yeah, I think the US. Version of Halloween has been quite popular worldwide. It has been quite popularized. I'm sorry, popularized worldwide. And I think it has a lot to do with the US. Influence. Television, the commercials and stuff like that, movies, TV shows. So I think it's become compromised worldwide due to the US. Influence
