What are the mental models that are not serving us? What are our core values, how to step into courage? And how does one really create that inner shift? And this is what the book has in store for the readers

Well, that's a huge canvas. But a primary question that we have in our nascent stages is to bring about a change in oneself. Where does one truly begin? As a leadership consultant and transformational coach, how would you say that we start?

And as surprising it may appear, but most of us are not really aware of who we are. So it starts with raising our self awareness. This involves reflecting on our strengths, reflecting on toxic patterns that are not serving us, toxic relationships or habits that need some fine tuning. And maybe it's time for us to let them go and we work together to really set achievable goals. It's very important to break down these goals into bite sized pieces and making the journey for the readers less overwhelming

So that brings me to the next question. Why do we struggle to commit to ourselves? And if there are any tools or exercises that are mentioned in the book which will help the readers to commit to their personal growth

But if we really want to bring in the change, we need to charter into uncharted territories what are unfamiliar. There might be little discomfort, but we need to become comfortable with becoming uncomfortable. And there are several exercises and practical frameworks that are shared in the book. For instance, there is an exercise called value discovery exercise, where there is a roadmap to really figure out what is really important for me and what is important for me should come from me and not from the societal pressure

So what motivated you to write this book, and how has the response been so far?

And the seeds of inspiration of this book were sown through the challenges that I faced, realizing the universal nature of struggles and the transformative power of overcoming them. And I felt compelled to put pen to paper to offer a roadmap for those who are navigating similar paths. And the lessons I have learned, the insights I have gained from mentors and the collective knowledge of various disciplines, and then converging it into a narrative that was aimed at helping people, empowering them, and uplifting readers and contributing for their good

That's lovely. And there is a long way to go and many more lives to be changed. Maybe one book at a time. So, what is the biggest myth that one should do away with while aiming to handle our fears and building the muscle of courage?
@nancykatyal

@Book_gobbler

Rather, it is our ability to take action in spite of fear. Courageous individuals do experience fear like everyone else, but they choose to confront it and move forward despite it. And fear is a natural and instinctive emotion. Everyone, regardless of whatever level they might have achieved in their life, feel it. And by understanding and accepting that fear is a normal part of human experience, individuals can redefine courage

Well, that's an empowering way to look at fear and certainly a game changer. With that, we come to the last question for this session. For someone who is finding it hard to create an inner shift, could you share a few strategies that can help them to start
@nancykatyal

@Book_gobbler

That is having the courage to face ourselves in the mirror and saying, hey buddy, I need to bring in that shift poetry writing until I'm fully ready. You won't be fully ready. You have to take that plunge and take that first step towards your goal. In the book I share about staircase approach, imagine you have to go till fourth floor. When you start from the ground floor, the fourth floor is not visible

Those are some wonderful strategies to begin with. And, yes, one day at a time, one step at a time helps us in the long run. Thank you so much, ma'am, for talking to me about your book. Commit to yourself. And my best wishes for the book
