A Thank You Note to Mary Oliver
I haven't read a lot of famous, quote unquote, famous poets, so I'm spending more of my time doing that this month. I enjoy mary Oliver. She often asks questions directly of the reader that kind of invite introspection and a mindfulness that I do appreciate, particularly when she's out walking in nature and she seems so observant and brings everything back to a kind of very humble, simple, human level. It's quite a joy to read and joy to experience
