Do you find some offensive content okay but others not? Is there a difference?

So my question to you really is, do you watch anything such as, like, Family Guy or anything from the makers of Family Guy, South Park and those types of programs or like, do you find them offensive or do you also feel that they are kind of not in the same realms as kind of some of the stand up comedians such as Dave Chappelle, who has just put out transphobic content. So are there any differences or should programs such as Family Guy and South Park also be under scrutiny?

I think of also, like comics like Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David and certain comics you would think is pretty wholesome in a lot of ways they've said things that are just dumb and not respectful. And I'm thinking about Jerry Seinfeld in his comments with Chinese people. I think he made and they were obviously ignorant comments I'm going to keep continue my response to the next twelve

Thanks for the ? And listening to my long winded answer 😂

And even if it's coming from anger, I guess it could be offensive, but if it's lifting up people or railing against injustice or it's like anger about appropriate things, and even if it's coming from the idea of being victimized, then it's acceptable. But it's really about telling truth to power. And if you have power and then you're making fun of people who don't have power or situations where people don't have power

Thank you @lissahoop

Sometimes there's a kind of a way that people deliver potentially offensive jokes in a kind of, hey, we're all just like making fun of each other here, and sometimes when it's like, actually, I am taking the mic out of you in a kind of standing above you and punching down on your way. So I definitely can resonate with that. So thank you so much

Thank you @Maddie

And then there are times when I'm like, oh, that's too far. But I also know a lot of people who just really don't like family at all. And I can understand why, actually, which is why I just wanted to again open up this conversation because it's very interesting to see all the different opinions around when jokes go too far or what is and isn't and offensive. And I'm just very fascinated by how different we all are
