Is parental control the solution for child safety online ?

article image placeholderUploaded by @NiraliBhatia
Haswell family. So recently, we have another landmark judgment in France, which insists a parental control for social media apps. While I think it's a good step, but is it enough? Is what I want all of us to think about, is it just putting the onus on parents that, hey, look, your child you manage. If you give consent or you decide, go ahead. Is that enough? To safeguard our children online, I believe we need a more collaborative effort

@NiraliBhatia They are not foolproof @Aishani

Hi, nirali a wonderful swell, really, to talk about. And since, you know, I deal with, you know, students day in, day out, I sure feel that parental control tools, so to speak, they have their own limitations, right? They're not foolproof, tech savvy children may find ways in multiple ways to me to bypass them, and then you stand helpless and hapless

So it's always better that we empower them with knowledge, information about good and bad and what might go wrong, so that they don't take the wrong step
