What are your three favorite satirical horror comedy films?

It's just a hilarious film with an incredibly amazing twist ending, and I saw it on cable as a kid, and it's a classic now, but it's one of the first of its kind. My second one is April Fool's Day, which I absolutely love, and this one was a little deep because it was an actual slasher film and it teetered on the line of being taken serious and satirical

Talking horror satire . What are your faves. I hit two cult classics and one modern satirical brilliant film.

Cabin in the Woods is a smooth watch and pretty fun

It's paced well, it doesn't get too serious, but it's lightness, doesn't undermine the stakes of the story and the characters. I just think it's is really enjoyable. There's good performances from the lead actors and actresses. It's a good time, and anytime I see that it's on or someone wants to watch it, I'm usually down. So give that a shot. Everybody if you haven't seen it already

Hey, what's up, Bray? Bray, you're new to my page here. I appreciate the feedback, but I am one of those few, and I've had arguments about this who did not like Cabin in the Woods in the least bit. I understand why people like it, and I'm a huge horror fanatic, and horror fans do appreciate that film, but I just have problems with it, and I won't get into detail

So I guess this is more of a popular genre than I thought. Like I said in the past, I can't stand this genre. I do not like satirical horror comedies or satirical horror or satirical anything, really, because I just feel like somebody thought up an idea or a script of some kind with a story and then someone's taking it and kind of like ripping it off or just making fun of it

And as long as it's done good. Like I said, then it passes scary movies. Those were the Waynes Brothers. They were not meant to be serious. If you think about it, it's really paying homage to screen because they're obviously fans of Scream routes. They wouldn't have made scary movies, so they made screen more relevant. If you think about it. Satire is a form of flattery. You got to remember. But I know what you're saying

So I completely get now what you're saying about this, but yeah, Teeth is hilarious, but it's a great idea, and I forgot what the other thing I was going to say. Oh, yeah. There's a really old a** satire movie that I remember seeing at the Forest, and it was called Saturday the 14th, and I remember seeing it as a kid, and I don't ever remember seeing it again. I don't even remember seeing it on VHS or anything

But the older 80 ones, they're just really meant to be silly and light hearted and silly. The newer new campaign type style is pretty gruesome, and there's definitely sick kills in them, but they're kind of subversive and very satirical more than spoof. So yeah. I mean, it's a popular genre. I think it really started out with evil. Neald, to be honest with you, that kind of new campaign is really inspired by Evil Dead 100%
