What film traumatized you as a kid? Remembering the frightening horror classic " The Shining" release 1980.

That film scared the s*** out of me. I saw it at a very young age, and I only have about five minutes here. So I'm going to go over some of the visuals that scared the life out of me. First and foremost is the old man performing the sex act on a person in a Bunny outfit costume don't know the symbolism or the meaning of that scene

What’s the one film that scared the life out of you growing up? Gave you serious nightmares.

So I felt like if I was in their shoes, I would be absolutely terrified of the trenchful and just that in the movie, they showed so many close ups of her face, her teeth, and just how she really did feel like a horror film character to me, where I would just get all these nightmares when I was little. I remember the second film that comes to mind is AI

Hey, Neil, thanks for posting this. A really, really good topic, something I feel like I could talk about for ages. And before I jump into my answer, I just wanted to point out so film starlet, I thought it was funny. I was listening to your response, and I ended up going to school with a few few people that were involved in pretty much all of those films, but the ones that stand out

I thought the second one was pretty poor, but even saying that I don't think that there was one moment of either of the new films that will ever scare me as much as any of the moments from that original TV film. Now the other thing that comes to mind is not a film, but is something that scared the living daylights out of me so much so that I actually was hospitalized as a kid. And I directly contribute my hospitalization to this

Oh, and also, Neil, I forgot to add this, but I'm pretty sure my mom worked on The Shining and had, like, a very interesting experience with Stanley Kubrick. And I'm going to she's not around right right now. But when I'm with her, I'm going to try and figure out what it is. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I want to get the story right. So maybe I'll just have her tell you

I was a kid, and I don't know, I don't remember seeing that, like when it was out, the movie that scared the absolute s*** out of me and probably a lot of other people my age kids is 1982 Poltergeist. I was way too young to see that movie

I know it was just a frightening film and it's a popular film and a lot of people remember it. I just don't fully remember. I definitely seen it, but I just don't remember much about it. But thanks for the feedback

But maybe the generation after me was the kind of Tales from the Crypt, so to speak. But yeah, maybe I'll check out some of those episodes and let you know what I think of. Are you afraid of the dark

I just want to comment. Taylor, I love how you nonchalantly say your mother worked with one of the greatest visionaries of the world. Certainly one of the greatest filmmakers ever. A master of cinema. That's funny that you just like, yeah, I think my mother worked with Stanley Kubrick. That's amazing, dude. Yeah. I would like to see what her experience was. Working with one of the greatest filmmakers there ever was

It's just so cringy to me. It gives me chills. It's just gross scene. But Poltergeist frightening visual essential horror classic, well written film. And, you know, it's a staple in horror

That was a very scary movie for me. Just the movie. I mean, it was a scary movie. And after that, the conjuring movies, those two movies there the first one in the follow up one just made me really scared and everything. And I don't know, really the spinoffs of Annabelle and all that kind of stuff. But those two conjuring, whatever. I'm from Georgia, so I don't know about the Annunciation or pronunciation there

Hey, what's up, Augusta? Thanks for the feedback. Kujo is a very frightening film. The thought of being trapped in a car with a rabid dog with rabies outside with nothing but thoughts of you as food is very frightening. D Wallace did a fantastic job of being a strong woman, protecting her son in the car, even though she did something immoral. So it's a great Stephen King story and it's very scary film. It's a classic. Now the grudge
