Remembering the charismatic and eccentric Shock G frontman of the hip hop group Digital Underground

article image placeholderRest easy Shock G
I remember the video on MTV, but what this man did was he brought back a fun, light hearted comedic style to hip hop, which was needed at the time because all the other rappers and I'm not knocking them for this. That's the Mo of rap and hip hop at that time was braggadocious. I'm the best MC. I write the best rhymes, Shock G and Digital Underground. They transcended above that and wanted to throw people off with her persona

Shock G the genius behind Digital Underground ,who often portrayed two personas has passed at the age of 57.

But another thing, too, is like, I don't know if a lot of people remember this, but Tupac Shakur got his start. He was a dancer for them. He was a backup dancer. And I think he's in some of their videos, not the Humpty Dance, but some of the other videos they had. He's there. You could see him because all these guys know each other. So just thought that was a key thing, too. But yeah, definitely innovators

And if you don't know who Andy Kaufman is, look other up and you'll see what I mean. The dude Don two personas in hip hop. How creative is that? He was shocked. And he also was Humpty, hump. And just the clothes that he wore were just eccentric. And he just didn't give a f***, you know what I mean? Which just made him cool. Shaky was just like the epitome of cool. You know what I mean?
