Bipolar II & Me

article image placeholderUploaded by @MyRealLife
I've always advocated for mental health, always encouraged open conversations to break down the stigma and misconceptions. And when I was diagnosed, I reminded myself of that, and I took the time to really explore this new diagnosis. Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that is characterized by extreme highs and lows, mania and depression. Unlike bipolar one, bipolar two is made up of hypomanic and depressive episodes

This is what I was talking about earlier. You did a wonderful job explaining that a lot of people are going to be able to talk about it more on swell because you brought it up and you explained it and I love it. Thank you so much

Hey Katie, thanks for shining some light onto the bipolar two. I definitely was not aware of there being different levels to bipolar, and so not only to learn about them, but to learn some facts and some misconceptions about them. That's pretty interesting and definitely useful information. So it'll allow me to further understand and just feel into the beautiful possibilities of just how things work and giving people grace

Thanks so much. I definitely feel like it's easier to talk about it when there's other people who start that conversation, and so I definitely am hopeful and encourage other swell users to dive into topics like that and share their experience and everything. Thank you so much for your feedback. I appreciate it

Hey, thank you. I appreciate it. I definitely am grateful for the way that you received what I had to say, and I'm glad that it reached you the way that it did. And that's what I hope to do more of here on swell and in life in general, because a lot of people don't, don't know because they hear and they see all the mainstream things about mental health and mental illness and certain things like that
