I Have People Pleased pt. 1

Both of my parents were there, but I had a parent who was like both of them financially were there and supported us and help and stuff like that to the best of their abilities. But imagine you have a parent who is physically there, but they're not really bonding with you. They're not really taking the time to get to know you. So there's like that element of neglect on that side

Hey, I just want to honor the conviction I hear in your voice about this. And pleasing yourself doesn't have to mean you don't please others, and it doesn't have to mean you cancel out. That giving part of you. I think it's really a balance. And I'm thinking about this group on Instagram called the Nap Ministry

And so I don't know, in listening to what you said, I'm reflecting in my own experiences and wondering if any of that has shaped who I am or if I felt like I got enough attention. And growing up with siblings, there were five of us in total. So I guess you could say a large family. I don't know that I didn't receive enough attention, to be honest. I don't know
