Anil. Darker was among Mumbai's most eminent cultural icons. He was a true polymath with interests and achievements across several females, the prominent ones being architecture, journalism, and film. He was also the founder of the to MumbaiLive International Literature Festival, which is one of the most popular festivals globally. Mr. Darker passed away today and I wanted to pay tribute to this great figure by inviting some of the people who knew him best to share some of their personal experiences with him

In addition to everything I just mentioned, Anil Harker was also a big cricket fan. And joining us on Swell Today is Ayaz Memon who is a veteran cricket journalist and commentator and also knew Anil darker closely. Mr. Memon, thank you so much for joining us on Mumbai Live here on Swell. Could you elaborate on some of your personal experiences with Anil darker

Cana he kept abreast of all the results that happened in tennis, not just tennis, which I got to know later in his school days. He was also a very good table tennis player. And of course he loved cricket because who doesn't love cricket in India. So he was born in Baroda, grew up partly in Maroda and then, of course, went to England for higher studies in England is, of course, the mother country where cricket is concerned

Mr. Mehmen, it's amazing to have you here on Swell with us even though it wasn't the best of days. But I look forward to chatting with you at the end of the ongoing series between India and England, and I think there's so much ground to be covered in terms of your reading of the upcoming tournaments, as well as on how much the game has evolved over the last few decades
