RIP Chadwick

So when I started drawing my own comic books, of course, all of my superheroes were black. But there was a comic book that came along that inspired me. It was called The Black Panther. It came out sometime in the 70s. I was a kid. I was immediately stuck on this comic book. And little did I know that years later, decades later, that this comic book would have a profound impact on black America and Blacks all over the world, for that matter

It's a real loss and just so young, but also, he just left so much good work behind, too. And I'm curious how it was previously. What was your experience seeing the Black Panther movie and did you like it? Did it live up to your expectations? Having been a fan of the comics for so long, I would love to hear. And what did you think of his role in the movie, too? It's

So my introduction to Black Panther, you may remember this in the 70s, 711 had Marvel Hero cups for their Slurpees. And me and all my friends friends were collecting them. We were trying to get them all. You know how you did when you were a kid, right? And I had the Black Panther Cup, and I didn't know about him. He actually I learned later on, he premiered, I think in the late 60s, maybe 66, something like that in a Fantastic Four

So I mean, big shout out to whoever made that into a movie, because had it not been for that, only a handful of black people, relatively speaking, would have even known about the Black Panthers

Hey, I just wanted to jump in real quick, Joe. Yeah, h***, yeah, I do remember those cups. And I had one, too. So I just wanted to say that real quick. I'm gonna finish listening to your swell

But he did have his own comic book for a minute. But nobody was like Prince T'Challa. Nobody he was. And he is. And he remains in a League and a class by himself when it comes to that. And thank God. Like I said, thank God. They put that into a movie. Thank God

Chadwick and Denzel real life superheroes

And I really hope that we can channel Chadwick's Grace as we go forward in whatever we want to do. It's a really, really tragic loss and hard to process. But we'll always have his legacy
