Did Maxine Represent Some of Today’s Modern Women?

Hey, swell family. I hope you're having a great night. So I used to love living single back in the course. I was still a little high schooler, so I could not relate to living as a single, independent woman in Brooklyn, New York. But I loved the premise of the whole show

And I'm glad you touched on the fact that the American modern woman probably she maybe was vulnerable at some point in time, but she's learned to take on that sort of masculine energy of not letting things get to her and not taking things too seriously to protect her heart. And it can work both ways, right? Her heart is protected, but if she's trying to maintain a relationship, it's not going to work because she is being too tough

Anyway, so having said that and I don't know, she's married in real life. I don't think I've seen anything where she was married and or has kids. So I do wonder if for her, her life imitates art in some respect. But anyway, I liked all the characters on the show, but I think she definitely represent modern women. Woman

She never ran into money problems. She always seemed to be on her feet and everything. It's just that when it came to romance and love, that seemed to be her weakness. From the guy that left her in college to the guy that she slept with who was a virgin and the younger guy she was dating that was in college at the time, she was an adult. It was just crazy. Some of her escapades were just wild

Kind of what the college experience would have been like, and kind of wish that I had experienced that college experience for myself when I was younger. But yeah, I don't know if my parents liked it. My sister loved living single. I don't know if my parents liked it or not, though. But my sister, she's the age of the living single

Maybe Max's parents had her sooner than they expected in their careers. That could have been part of it. I don't know. We might have to have you, Lee Bowser, sit down and have a conversation with us about this, because Max's character is she is what she is because her parents were not as emotionally available to her as she needed, so she figured that's what it should be about. Maybe her mom barely pays attention to her dad or something like that

And I remember Max being real cringe about the whole thing because her and her mom obviously did not have a close relationship. And so the thought of being close to her mother, even for that short period of time, was just very uncomfortable for her
