Gluttony: The Acceptable Sin

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Hey, swell family. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. So I am on week eight of this fitness challenge that I've been on since March 4. I've gone down 15 pounds, one complete size, in my jeans and shirts, and I feel 100% better. I look better when I go past the mirror. I like what I see

For years, I lost, you know, I lost weight some years ago, and for years, I was able to keep it off. And for years, I exercised discipline. For years, I would meal prep. For years, I would be mindful of what I put in my mouth. And then one day, I went off the rails, and I stayed off the rails, and it just got worse

But being on this plan has helped me to discover the mental drivers, the emotional drivers, the spiritual things that drove me to eat, the physical things that drove me to eat. I'm not hungry all day long. I'm not hungry all day to the point where I have to eat a lot because I'm just hungry. I sit all day for the most part. I mean, I do get up and move around and work out and things like that and go out

And when I say that to you, I speak for myself as well, because, again, as you know, I always talk about it on my swells when I talk about me being diabetic and having to do dialysis three days a week. But the blessing is I'm still able to work and I'm still able to, you know, hit the gym. And of course, all my days off, you know, I could stay in the gym a little longer

So I would just encourage you while you're losing weight and you're so excited about it. And I can't say I blame you, but look into the emotional part, not just emotional eating. It's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the mental well being of it. And yes, I know this because of the hypnotherapy that I participate in. But it's more than that. It's counseling

In Singapore, their solution is that they put healthy stuff in front of everyone. Because one thing I know about humans is we eat what's convenient, and that's around us. So in Singapore, they took half the sugars out of the sodas. They served brown rice with the meals. They made sure that they cut back on the sugars to help their citizens to eat well and eat better and not have to feel at fault or guilty about their choices
