Late Bloomers in Life: Doing life at your own pace

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
We're even seeing people in their 60s starting a business after raising their family and taking care of their business there. They're now starting to live and live their dreams and accomplish their dreams at later ages in life. But the wonderful thing about people that accomplish things at later ages in life is that the joy they experience is no different than if they had done it at a younger age. No matter what age we get married, it's going to be a joyful time

So I really been working on myself when it comes to that and just conversate with God and the direction he has me in. And just thinking about delay does not mean deny. So I try to keep that within me because that's what God have given me in this season. Delay does not mean deny. So I thank you for that

Hey, Miss B, thank you so much for responding. I can totally relate to you. Yesterday, I'm 45, I've never been married, I don't have kids. And yesterday I was at my small group and I was surrounded by young women who are in their early to mid 20s, already married and some with children. And it makes you feel some kind of way. It does. It makes you feel some kind of way

I didn't have no kind of sense or style or fashion because I grew up poor, so we wore what we could, so I didn't have any kind of personal pizzazz. I had issues with my hair would break off. So nothing about me was that hot girl chick back then. And I get more and I'm not looking for a whole lot of lust, of course, but I get more male attention in my 40s than I ever did in my teenage years

Compass over clock @Swatiselflove

I honestly don't care how much money he earns. All I always cared about in his entire upbringing was to ensure that I'm raising a humble, sensitive, kind, compassionate, and learning man. That's all I put my entire focus on through his entire schooling, high schooling, graduation, which he's doing now. We have never discussed scores. We have never spoken about how better and how much more marks he should be bringing

You, ariana, your reply was beautiful. The compass over the clock. That was the absolute first time I've ever heard that. And I need to use that. The compass over the clock. Make sure we're going in the right direction. It's not about the timing. Wow, I'm choked up over that because that is really I need to hear that. And I thank you for sharing that. I needed to hear that. The compass over the clock. Thank you

@DearAuntyAng 7 habits of highly effective people - Dr. Stephen Covey

Hi, Angela, thank you so much for your reply. And I'm so glad that you connected with the concept of compass over clock. If you want to read more about this, this is actually a concept from The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Dr. Stephen Covey. My ideal, my role model, and one of the two books that transformed my life. So do read more about it

We are where we're supposed to be and that we're moving in the right direction. And as long as we know that, and as long as we have that revelation and that understanding, then we're going to be just fine. We're not late at all. So thank you so much for this

Hey, SIS, thank you so much for responding. And like you, I was not the hot girl in high school either. I did not have nice clothes. I mean, I had decent clothes. My parents were they were middle class, so they took good care of us. And so we were okay there. But we didn't have name brands

Wow. What a wonderful thought that you have shared with us. I'm so glad that I bummed into your swell cast. Tanya, that was so beautiful of you. And what a beautiful term that you have used late bloomers. Instead of saying that, we start regretting and any negative term you would have attached to our achievement that we make in our later life. And you know, many a times we start regretting, oh, I should have done this at a younger age
