What's your favorite Wes Anderson film?

article image placeholderThe Darjeeling Limited
Like, you know, you're watching a Wes Anderson film every time you're watching one. And so it made me what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's your favorite Wes Anderson film? Have one. And I would love to hear about that, too. But for me, I can't fully explain why still, after all these years, but the Darjeeling Limited just has a really special place in my heart

I was so excited to see this conversation pop up. I actually love Wes Anderson as a director, and by far, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's your favorite Wes Anderson film? My favorite the movies, period, is Moonrise Kingdom. I absolutely love it. And when I think about West Anderson, yes, of course

I've heard of all of them, and I know them to all be pretty amazing. I just haven't really seen them. I'm wondering if either of you have an opinion as to why that is why somebody who sees most famous movies that are out there. Certainly, most films that are nominated for things somehow pass these up. I can't think of a real reason and why

So I think that might be part of it, but it does make me excited for you. I really want you to see more of the movies because I want to hear what you think about them and especially would love for anyone here to talk about the fantastic Mr. Fox. Maybe I'll rewatch it again soon, and we can all talk about it

And I actually like it a lot. And I think I had a similar reaction to you the first time seeing it. I thought, oh, this is good, but didn't really movies me and I've seen it a couple of times since then on cable. And the more I see it, the more layered it feels to me

But I'm sorry, I'm picking with what comes close to my heart, which is Moonrise Kingdom. I did see the Dargio reeling a very long time ago. I hardly remember it. Maybe one of these days I'll give it a rewatch. But yes, I'm so glad that you brought up Wes Anderson because he really is on my Mount Rushmore of directors

And then I'll mention one more thing. His animated films are fascinating, but I don't get any emotional connection to them. They'll to his films, people with real people

And she introduced me to her husband as this is Neil, the film guy. You guys will have a lot in common. And his first question was to me, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's your favorite Wes Anderson film? Big Wes Anderson guy. Right off the bat. I think he's an acquired taste. He's not a bad filmmaker by any means. I just think that he is very esoteric, which is not a bad thing
