Netflix lost a huge chunk of market share in the last year. Surprising? Not really.

I mean, even Paramount Plus, which admittedly does not have the most content, has a lot of films that are really sort of top tier and things that have infinite rewatch ability. Is that a word? I think it is. At any rate, I want to know what you think about this. Where is Netflix sort of sitting with you as of late?

The economics are fascinating

And that's where I think they have to go if they're going to grow at all. And then you've got to hope that the content that you produce is just as successful as the content that you've already produced that had a claims to it. And that, I think, is what you're describing is not happening. The content that they're producing is just not the spade. It's not getting that same buzz

Docuseries + Standup

And I feel like that's what most of my viewing time goes towards anymore on Netflix, unless there's something really specific that's been getting a lot of hype that I want to watch. For example, this past year, the show Bridgerton. But other than that, I do genuinely find it pretty challenging to find new original shows on there that I really like. I start a lot of things and then never finish them outside of some of their best shows

Recurring revenue

If they get to a point where people kind of drop off and then just buy by the show. And I don't mean that they actually buy by the show, but they only subscribe to it when there's a show worth watching, and then they get off of it. That revenue model is not going to work for business. They need that recurring revenue every single month, and they need that to show value

Well, Taylor, there are some Netflix originals that I did enjoy way back. I haven't really tapped into the new Netflix originals lately because I've just been in dated with the other streaming services, but agree kind of I think Shudder outshines them in the horror realm because, you know, me, I'm a horror guy. And the Shutter horror originals by far outweigh the Netflix ones
