How long has it been since you’ve escaped your comfort zone?

Hi, it's MJ. And I wanted to talk a little bit about change and what it means and how we go about doing it, because we know that you cannot do the same thing every day and remain the same. I don't know anyone who's still on a bicycle with training wheels. You know what I mean? Everyone grows from day to day to day, very minutely sometimes, but it's still growth. And so we have to do things that we're uncomfortable with sometimes

So, I don't know, tomorrow I'm gonna try to do something a little bit different. I might even try to do something a little bit different right now. This really inspires me. Thank you so much for. For talking about this, because I'm telling you, the norm can be pretty boring. But doing something new, let's see

Hey, MJ. I love this swell topic. I recently stepped out of my comfort zone back in the fall of 2023 and decided to become a court appointed special advocate for foster children. This was out of my comfort zone because I don't have any kids, number one. Number two, I don't really. I'm not around children a lot. My niece and nephew are adults. They don't have any kids, so I'm not around little kids a lot

@MsColes77 Experience is nice, but truly being present signifies even more.

And I know right now I'm ticking off a bell for you. That makes sense because I'm sure that you know somebody that thinks they're a great parent and they are atrocious as a human being, you know, even if you just have to see them on the news, you see people that have a lot of kids that are not good parents

Hi there. So I escape my comfort zone three to four times a week as a runner, and I've been running for more than ten years now, and it's never comfortable, never. I'm a guy in his early fifties, probably carrying a few more pounds than you should. And three to four times a week, I get out and run. And every time it's like, okay, are you sure you want to do this? Are you sure you want to do this?

Hey, MJ. First, thank you for this question topic. And I want to also say, secondly, congratulations on being one of the top finalists for your writing and all because you stepped out of your zone. So congratulations to you. I'm kind of one who steps out of my comfort zone often. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with stepping out of my comfort zone, but I do step out often. A couple of years ago, I had

@DearAuntyAng Applause is in order!

And I think that what I got out of what you're saying more than anything is when you take those chances, that's the reward. I mean, look at all these changes that are happening in your life because you're willing to step into a different area where you're a little bit more unfamiliar. So kudos to you. That's really, wow. Just really amazing. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your point of view on this. I applaud you all up and down

@richtaliaferro On your mark, get set, GO!

These were like full on big time naps, like one or 2 hours. And I was thinking, you know, when I woke up this morning because I had promised the dog I'd take her outside, but then I was like, wow, you know, I took her out one time and then coming back, I barely made it in the front door and was like breathing heavy. But

Because I have pretty much, at my core, been this way all of my life, where if there is something that I did not want to do or had any type of thoughts about doing, I just jumped into it. And that's pretty much what I do. I jump full speed ahead into it because I rather experience it, learn from it, and then revise as necessary and put it back into action with the revisions. Or say, okay, I've done it

@Her_Sisu Fail BIG, right? 😉

You know, get some notoriety for it, you know, because you're probably making a mistake other people would have made anyway. And maybe multiple people can learn from it, but fail big. That way, if you don't fail, you're succeeding, like, 100 plus percent, and then your name will stand out, too. So thanks so much for responding to my swell cast. I really appreciate that feedback. It's awesome
