Celebrate the Failures, Lessons, and Accomplishments w/o Interference
Our kids decide if they want to follow in our footsteps, but they also make those decisions by watching us and watching the way we behave. And sometimes they follow us, sometimes without thinking, they follow us just because we're the parent. They think it's the right thing to do. And it's our responsibility to teach our children to think for themselves. Really, it is a responsibility

And I really got in that mind mindset and my space and came up there, and it feels a little bit, oh, am I not being the parent that, you know, they tell you about where I'm on it and I'm high performing parent, and he has a different style, and his style matches his father. And I had to check myself there, too. We're divorced. And though that style is, it doesn't really blend well with mine. Well, guess what?

But for the most part, like I said, we're just kind of the training wheels. It kind of helps guide them. We're no longer tricycles. We don't, you know, watch every move our kid makes and make sure they don't tip over. We got to let them make those other mistakes. So I think you sound like a fabulous mom. You sound great, you sound like you, like you think through the motions. You give a lot of thought to accountability
