Personal Board of Advisors

article image placeholderUploaded by @michele_NCLLC
Three, four people that you can call, they'll pick up the phone and they'll listen to whatever's going on in your head. It's important. So what I find with my clients is that when they're making a career change, whether they're changing jobs, changing companies, getting promoted, whatever, the people who have done it in the smoothest way possible all have this thing in common where they have what I call their personal board of advisors

Like bringing in people that I really need for a particular sort of chapter that requires someone that has more business acumen other times, people that have softer skills that I need to help navigate difficult situations. I find myself now in my 50s, turning around and looking towards people who I've been involved with, who are younger, that need some connection to some grounding when it comes to their life choices

Helps me at least feel like I'm trying to stay relevant. Let's say it that way. So anyways, thank you so much for continuing the conversation, and I hope to hear from other people too

Everybody like is you having a personal board of advisors. I think that should rotate over time. You should just adopt it as a philosophy and a practice. I know other people who thought I was crazy and said that's going to take a lot of work and I'm feeling shy about it. I don't want to do that. And then once they started doing it, now they're hooked
