India does worry about the amount of Chinese infrastructure around them, but the Chinese investments aren't going as well as they once hoped they were. We've seen Sri Lanka recently effectively go through economic collapse and a change of government in Pakistan that have probably weaken China's position somewhat in the region. So India is starting to push back against China. We've seen this with entry into alliances such as the Quad, but obviously the Quad is almost viewed as three plus one

Hey, Michael, thanks so much for sharing this little recap of your podcast. I just gave it a listen and really enjoyed learning a little bit more about the Indian Ocean region, especially from a military perspective. I'm an Australian living in America, but I must have I don't really know a lot about the geopolitical military situation over there. I do think about it a lot, especially with the whole Australasia region and the shifting global power to China
