Finding new friends as an adult
But what I'm saying is I've always been quite the introvert and and now that I'm in a dire position, having ended a year long relationship with someone I've spoke to basically every day or literally every day, I find myself wanting to be surrounded by people and with this pandemic going on and not wanting to exactly find some kind of fling and go on Tinder or something and not having the heart to I don't know how exactly to reach out to people, and I just wanted to see not a therapy session, but rather how do you all in this position of the pandemic or even just having joined the workforce and not being in a University or some area where you can just mingle with people who are alike to you?
Now that's a little too much. Five years of my life, I've maybe made two adult friends that I would consider very close to me. And I remember back in the day in high school and stuff, it was obviously a lot easier, but as you get older, you get busier, your interests shift and you lose touch with some people, whether they move or they get married one reason or another. So it is hard to navigate those sort of uncharted waters

If you were to count the number of cells in your body, most of them would be bacteria. You are conscious because you are a host for all of this life going on inside you, and that's connected to the life in the soil, et cetera, et cetera. So that's like one thing, we're not individuals. We are communities in ourselves. And you are a community. Somebody grew the food that you're eating

I mean, the virtual spaces and the online spaces is basically the mode of operation right now, and that's actually previous to COVID. I think it's always been a little difficult finding new friends. However, you define that for adults, I know that I've always looked to classes and seminars and topics of interest and always finding and doing things with other people that bring me pleasure. I'm surrounded
