Q1. In conversation with Pallavi Joshi #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @Pallavi_Joshi19

Alright, ma'am. So before starting with the questions that are related to your novel, I would like to know more about you. So I know that you're an engineer by profession. You work with Government of India. So I can make up that you have a very busy life. So how do you manage to find time for your creative pursuits amidst such a busy professional life? And do you have any particular advice for aspiring writers with demanding careers?

@Manalika

Yes manalika, I understand for most people it is very tough to be able to take time out of their busy schedule to follow their passion or dreams. And I am no different definitely. But still I would say my mantra to keep my passion along with my professional life is very simple. Jab kuli akosa sapna de kyato aki kuli lakari unapura and you should always work hard for your dreams. Tabivo pude. I guess every writer would relate to this

Hi, Manika and hi, Pallavi Joshi. My question is to Pallavi Joshi. Pallavi mentioned that traveling is the best time when you write. So is there any specific place that you go to and that helps you out to put the complete concentration on writing?

@Ragjav1596

Hi, Raghav. First of all, thank you for joining this conversation. And yes, traveling is a therapy for me. It is definitely a therapy. And I would say mountains are the best place to calm your mind and to have that peaceful environment, to deep dive into emotions and to have deep conversation and the best place to get your emotions out of your head and heart. So, yeah, for me, mountains are love

Q2. In conversation with Pallavi Joshi #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @Pallavi_Joshi19

I am a literature student and I would love to know more about how I can gain from surroundings. My surroundings, my environment. I would definitely do this in the future. So ma'am, my next question for you would be what inspired you to explore the theme of heartbreak and disillusionment in relationships through the characters of Dhwani and Jaya in your novel?

Manalika traveling is a therapy, and you should try it. It will give you a lot of experience, perspective. It will change you. It will definitely change you. Last year I started traveling and making impromptu plans, and it has really changed me in a very good way. You should definitely try it. And if I talk about my characters way, I would say my journey as a writer started way long back

Palivi. So, you know, I haven't had the fortune of, you know, reading your book as of now. But thanks to this platform that, you know, I got to know about you and your book. So the title is very interesting. One thing that I would like to know about it is that in everyone's mind and in everyone's perspective, ugliness is different. Right. So. So how do you define ugliness?
@Pallavi_Joshi19
Pallavi Joshi

@Ragjav1596

If there is beautiful things out there, there is ugliness too. And for me, ugliness is putting someone down, body shaming, making someone feel they are not worth, they are not worthy of love, they are not worthy of having good things in their life just because they don't fit in societal parameters. Let's suppose someone is fat, someone is thin

Q3. In conversation with Pallavi Joshi #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @Pallavi_Joshi19

So, as we mentioned, that you have read a lot of books, you are a reader, and through that you wrote something. So you basically got an inspiration. You got some insights from all the authors out there. So there's always some sort of inspiration involved. I believe that it is true. This is something which I think that, yeah, there's always some inspiration involved behind our creative pursuits

@Manalika

And it is kind of a thing, if I elaborate further, is that it is a saying from that person who is being judged that it's okay. What if I don't stand out on societal parameters? But don't I deserve that love? Don't I deserve to get love? Don't I deserve to give love? So, yeah, that's how this title came up for my story, which actually shows how love should be

Hi, Jyotika. Thank you for joining this conversation. And yes, I personally resonate with the character Dhwani. She is a fighter. And I believe every person should be a fighter to fight all the odds of life, because life never gets easy. And she's kind, which every human being should be, and very thoughtful and a very. A beautiful person by heart

Q4. In conversation with Pallavi Joshi #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @Pallavi_Joshi19

So, ma'am, your novel is about love, heartbreak, redemption, loss, sufferings, and all these top topics are not very novel novel as in not new. These topics have been explored by a lot of authors out there as well. So what do you believe? Sets don't uglies have right to love? Apart from other stories exploring similar themes of love, heartbreak, redemptions, and similar emotions

@Manalika

Like someone remembering every little thing about you being your shield no matter how hard life gets, united families instead of dysfunctional ones, feeling butterflies, leaving love notes in bags and a lot more such moment which makes you feel loved even without saying it. I would say Maya novel is blend of every form of love, whether it's parents, partners, friends, grandparents, or even being kind to other human beings. So it is just not related to love between a man and a woman

Yes, ma'am. This definitely sets a novel apart from other novels out there, plus even the title. This title is very intriguing and interesting, right? It's not something very conventional, so I'm pretty sure everyone who reads the title, they will be inclined to read your novel to know further about it

But yeah, I can tell you about the theme. The theme would be about healing, about making comeback. When life pushes you down and it leaves you nowhere. You
