Fear of sharks = fear of the unknown?
It just has to do with the fear of not knowing that it's there and not fully being able to see it. You know it's there, but you don't know the shape of it. You don't know in the case of Sharks, you don't like what exactly it looks like, how long it is, stuff like that. You can't really read the animal when it's under the water
