Because when you make a historical film, then people are going to have an emotional attachment to the certain events that you're portraying because that's the nature of it. When you add, like, imagery and music and actors and emotions to that event, it becomes emotionally charged in the audience's brain

Because that's definitely the case for me. And honestly, why I don't watch too much TV or movies anymore because of it, especially if it's too emotionally intense. I just prefer not to watch it. So I could definitely see how that's the same for historical films
