We haven't had much trouble with that before, and it speaks to how our social theories of celebrity have change. These more intense dissections of millennials'choice and dissections of dissections flow out of a model of Fame that largely dispenses with celebrity worship. They're more common relation historically and favor something morekin to pure esteem. This is what I think the parasocial theorists got right because the author of the article implores us, not just worship celebrities and praise them when we have this quote unquote parasocial relationship with them
