Opinion on the big Facebook rebrand. Very big news. Very interesting news. Basically, if you haven't heard, Facebook is now used renamed to Meta. But it's more like Facebook as a parent company being renamed Meta. But the social networkapp itself is still being called Facebook. So, for example, you don't say, oh, in terms of Facebook anymore in terms of by meta, which is really interesting. I don't know. I don't know how I feel about this

I think the Metaverse is a concept that really has a lot of levels to it that scare me when it comes to a Corporation having anything to do with meta, because it feels like worlds within worlds. But then you have this Dystopian vision, which is already sort of happening. I don't care to be a slave to that world. And I think that's really where some people are caught up. They're a slave to the technologies and the tools that come from this huge dynasty
Linking the overarching brand of Facebook with the death of the social media platform. If that makes sense, as Facebook itself dies, Meta will live on. I'm sure that's their plan to some extent. Yeah. Deborah, thank you for linking that conversation as well. Super interesting, but, yeah, this is just another huge corporate move from these brands that are trying to cement themselves in eternity. Yeah, it's obviously frightening, but interesting to see unfold, I guess
And I think you bring it up a very interesting point about how they're doing this at the time where Facebook is really not looking good in the public view and what this rebrand is doing. I don't know if maybe they had plans to do it another time and are now suddenly doing it. Or I don't really know. I definitely want to do some more research on that. But I think the whole concept of re branding is so interesting because essentially, you're still the same company
