If you see those metal XS on the buildings, I always just thought that was like an ugly architecture choice, but actually, that's to help keep the building stable in case of an earthquake so it doesn't collapse. So now I'm like, oh, now, everywhere I look, I see earthquake safety, and it makes me feel a little better

And I think growing up in Hawaii, even though I wasn't really next to the volcano, I always kind of was, like, scared of just volcanic activity. And so I think you have to pick your points wherever you go. But earthquakes are definitely, as we've learned nothing to joke around about. They're like, a really big deal. And it's kind of a little bit concerning that. We live right on the Hayward fault
I'm not in this class. I did want to take it, though, but I just wanted to respond, UM, because I am also constantly worrying about, like, the big earthquake, and I even remember, I think this was an 8th grade. We were all all hearing about, like, there's going to be the earthquake tonight at 08:00 p.m.. And everyone is like, ha ha. Not really, but also, everyone was secretly freaking out

And so everyone's learning about earthquake safety, and we're learning about it with our friends. So that is all I have to say, but hope everyone has a great day and thank you for listening
