This prompt can only bring one poem to mind every time I've closed my eyes and thought of lines that have given me every reason to go through a bad day or focus on what I needed to focus on. They are from in Victus by William Ernest Henley. And the lines are, beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years finds and shall find me unafraid

I know this poem as many people do, but when you were talking about why, you weren't sure about why it speaks to you, that one line, I had to go and understand the context. And it turns out that when he wrote this, you know, he had lost a leg when he was 16 years old, and then he was. He was having trouble with his other leg. And during his recovery of multiple surgeries, he wrote the verses that became invictus
