Hey. Yes. I always wanted to write, like, short stories, fiction or nonfiction, but I always have, like, a freeze. I don't know. I can't think of anything. So do you recommend me to start with a short essay first and then start writing something longer? Okay, that's basically it

Don't be scared of writing something not good, because even when you're writing something that's not good, you're still writing. So just start writing every day. Start with the haiku. Three lions, some syllables in there. Have fun. That's the thing. Have fun doing it. Challenge yourself, you know, like, whatever you had for lunch, write a haiku about it

However, I was thinking of trying and I just don't know how to go about it. Do you start with competitions and then you go to a publisher? What sort of publishers should one go to? How do you even figure out if what you have written has a chance of being published? You just keep trying until maybe it happens

And like, I shouldn't have to tell you this, but any good publisher will tell you this, it should never cost you a dime to publish. A publisher is going to invest in you so you could self publish. You can go to a vanity publisher where you pay to have it published, but if you find a real publisher, they're not going to charge you anything. So that means the work has to be different. It has to be super strong
