How do you respond to people that don’t like you?

article image placeholderUploaded by @LaritaMotivates
So I just wanted to get you guys take on it, because this could be in the workplace. This could be with a neighbor, this could be with family, this could be with so called friends or what they say framies. But this could be with anybody. It could be with anybody. It could be the person at the grocery store. It could be with anyone. Or the person in your kids school where they give you dirty looks and they're talking about you

But not liking somebody because of the color of their skin or not liking them because they feel that they have more or less than it's ridiculous. Those are reasons that to me are not really valid. They're just excuses people make up for their own insecurities. So yeah, I have a true story of a family member. My sister. I do not like her. I do not like her. We share a bloodline, but personalities, that's it. We share bloodline

Hey, thank you for the invite, and I appreciate your words. You know, when I was a public school teacher, I often dealt with a lot of kids who were the victims of bullying and, you know, really hardcore of core bullying in some cases. And I'm reminded of a phrase. I can't remember where I heard it, but I would always repeat it to my students, and it would give them, I guess, a sense of courage

And that got me thinking, like, I wonder if people talk s*** about me. And it's probably been since middle school or high school that I've actually had the thought, like, do people talk s*** about me? I'm generally not worried with who doesn't like me because I feel like most people like me

I remember coming home when I was younger, late elementary school, middle school, and I would lament to my mother what someone said, what someone did, something wasn't fair, dot, dot, dot. And she would frequently respond with, well, they didn't like Jesus. They mistreated Jesus and he was supposed to be perfect. And she would carry on about her business. Now, some will say, okay, that wasn't a great response

Whether it be jealousy, their demons, like you said, or their inability to be a professional or just mature just to be an adult, I will show my example, my leadership, why this team can realize who the dysfunctional one is, who the cancer is. So we can keep the team on the mission, because at the end of the day, it's about the institution, command and individual. Right?

When everyone is cut, regardless of the nationality, we all bleed the same in life. You just have to navigate through life. And those people that call themselves disliking us, we can't let that energy destroy our good energy. So I do truly thank you so much, and I do love listening to you. Thank you

And there's a quote that I love that says, never hate people who are jealous of you, but respect their jealousy because they're the ones who think that you're better than they are. And they also see something in you, some awesomeness in you, that they know they can't replicate. They know how awesome you really are. And so therefore, demonstrated by some type of attitude of disliking you, don't let that bother you. Respect their jealousy

The minute you don't acknowledge, like you said, ignore, cut it off. It doesn't exist. It's what you think about and what you look at and what you respond to. Your energy is going there. Whether it be a negative response, a positive response, a neutral response, however you respond is going to determine how the energy flows. So it's a constant practice, though I feel everything you're saying, it's hard not to take personal
