Does Our Genre Define Us?

You. Hi, everyone. Happy October 19. I wanted to jump on here today real quick and be very honest and frank and discuss a topic that I know has really, you know, affected a lot of authors and including myself, and that's probably like, stereotyping discrimination and according to the genre or genres that we write

Hey. Good morning, Lorraine. I just listened to your post. Actually, I've listened to it a couple times this morning because I'm appalled at the way that these people have treated you, especially because, I guess in regards to professionalism, if you have the ability to do the job that they hired you for, does it really matter what you write about? Especially if what you're writing is to entertain?

You know, I prior to that job interview here, you know, I had been already retired and teaching about 30 plus years, but it just gave me more time to spend in my writing. And like I said, when doors close, a window opens. But anyway, yes, I do write paranormal and a lot of my paranormal stories are actually based on true events. I'm an empath and a very high sensitive, have had a lot of experiences and strange occurrences throughout my lifetime
